The Man in the Moon: Ingratiatingly old-styled weeper set in rural Louisiana in 1957, in reference to a l4-year-old gal in love with an older boy, who in turn favors her college-confined sister. Newcomer Witherspoon is vivid as the younger sister more early teenage lightning for controller Mulligan, who guided T Kill a Mockingbird. Pleasantly shot by Freddie Francis. Waterston has some powerful scenes as the gals’ dad. Cast includes Sam Waterston, Tess Harper, Gail Strickland, Reese Witherspoon, Jason London, and Ernie Energetic. (99 minutes, 1991)

The Last Time I Committed Suicide: Mordantly stylized, stereotype-encumbered tale of beat writer Neal Cassidy ostensibly based on a letter he once inscribed to Jack Kerouac. Completely unsympathetic, angst-filled characters are set to even better disadvantage by a jumpy camcorder and abrasive lighting. Cast includes Thomas Jane, Keanu Reeves, Adrien Brody, John Doe, Claire Forlani, Jim Haynie, Marg Helgenberger, and Lucinda Jenney. (93 minutes, 1997)

They Won’t Believe Me: Fine James Cain-type melodrama in reference to a philanderer who gets engaged with 3 females, leading to calamity and a tremendous twirl ending. Young succeeds in his unsympathetic role; Johnson does marvels with her scenes as his spouse. Cast includes Susan Hayward, Robert Youthful, Jane Greer, Rita Johnson, Tom Powers, Don Beddoe, and Blunt Ferguson. (95 minutes, 1947)

Me, Myself and Irene: Normally mild mannered Rhode Island policeman Charlie Bailey is just a typical hard working cop. When he doesn’t take his medication, his alter ego Hank is let loose. Hank is a vulgar, rude, aggressive wild man. Irene, who has confided in Charlie for help, must deal with Hank too in this wacky comedy romance.

Enemy Of The State: A fast paced intrigue that attorney Robert Clayton Dean is unwittingly thrown into the middle of. The government is after him, and they are tracking him with high tech surveillance techniques. He finally gets help from a man named Brill and together they devise a clever plan to untangle Robert from the mess.

The Horse Whisperer: After her daughter is seriously injured in a horse riding accident, her wealthy mother takes the horse to a legendary horse whisperer in Montana. A romance between the two follows.

Bolt: Bolt is a super hero dog, at least in his TV show. The problem with Bolt is that he thinks that he truly does have super powers. When he is accidentally shipped out of Hollywood to New York, he must go on a cross-country journey to get back home. Soon realizing he has no superpowers, he makes some unlikely friends who help him on his journey.

Murph the Surf: Here is an all too typical plot, in regards to a cop framed for kills by a psychopathic ex-con he initially sent to jail; only innovation is that the psycho is a lady goddess. Cast includes Charles Bronson, Kathleen Wilhoite, Carrie Snodgress, Robert F. Lyons, Richard Romanus, Janet MacLacWan, and Lawrence Tierney. (100 minutes, 1986)

The Little Vampire: A 9-year-old California schoolboy moves to Scotland and makes buddies with a 9-year-old vampire who sucks him into his planet and shows him the time of his life. Lipnicki is cute as unconditionally, although Weeks robs the show as his vampire buddy. Cast includes Jonathan Lipnicki, Richard E. Permit, Alice Krige, Anna Popplewell, Jim Carter, John Wood, Pamela Gidley, and Rollo Weeks. (96 minutes, 2000)

Try “Legal Movie Downloads” if you want to find some downloads. If the first search proves ineffective type in something different. “Movie Rentals Online” would be worth a try.
