Patton: Milestone in biographies finds Scott vivid as offbeat, radiant General George Patton, whose temper often interrupts with his request throughout WW2. Malden comparably impressive as General Omar Bradley in intelligently written, finely wrought biographical battle drama. Cast includes George C. Scott, Karl Malden, Stephen Youthful, Michael Hefty, Frank Latimore, James Edwards, Lawrence Dobkin, Michael Bates, and Tim Considine. (169 minutes, 1970)

A Bullet for Sandoval: Ex-Confederate Hilton plots reprisal on don Borgnine, the grand daddy of Hilton’s child, for indirectly causing the toddler to die. Cast includes Ernest Borgnine, George Hilton, Alberto De Mendoza, and Gustavo Rojo. (91 minutes, 1970)

Dillinger and Capone: In 1940, discharged from prison, Al Capone (Abraham) holds the family of John Dillinger (Sheen) for ransom. Al desires the bank robber to recoup 150,000 dollars of Capone’s monies from a hotel in Chicago. The Inkwell: A sixteen-year-old, whose toy doll confidante naturally frets his parents, comprehends in regards to love, in this summer of ‘76 reminiscence piece set in a black zone of Martha’s Vineyard.
