A Few Useful Movie Plot Lines To Go Over
November 13th, 2009 by Penelope WeaverIn the past you had to go to a store if you wanted to rent or buy a movie. Now, with internet usage exploding, movie downloads are becoming very popular. Following is a list of a few movies that you can get using a movie download site.
King and 4 Queens: Static misfire with Gable on the run he stole from the men of 4 females he confronts. Cast includes Clark Gable, Eleanor Parker, Jo Van Fleet, Jean Wiles, Barbara Nichols, Sara Shane, and Jay C. Flip. (86 minutes,’56)
No Minor Vices: Arrogant comedy in which stereotypically off beat performer Jordan tries to come between pediatrician Andrews and spouse Palmer. Starts off well however slows down. Cast includes Lewis Milestone, Dana Andrews, Lilly Palmer, Louis Jordan, Jane Wyatt, Bernard Gorcey, and Man Bridges. (96 minutes,’48)
Pearl Harbor: This epic movie looks at the devastation of that eventful day, December 7,’41 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. This story follows the incredible courage of a nurse and two daring pilots, who bravely move forward, all the time trying to deal with the overwhelming catastrophe before them.
Richard Pryor Live on the Sunset Strip: Pryor on Africa, sex, lawyers, his spouse, sex, Italian mobsters, more sex, and freebasing. Some of it’s ludicrous, some isn’t, however the audience is always shown tripled over with laughter. (82 minutes,’82)
Sugar Town : Entertaining mosaic of LA life characterizing a handful of characters whose lives dovetail: a musician wannabe who’ll do anything to get ahead, an uptight lone lady who allures the incorrect men like a magnet, and a band made up of cleaned-up ’80s stone megastars, to name a few. Tiny, made on a shoestring, although acute and well recognized; excellent cast contains a number of genuine-life musicians. Cast includes Supporter Sheedy, Rosanna Arquette, John Taylor, Jade Gordon, Michael Des Barres, Lucinda Jenney, and Martin Kemp. (92 minutes,’99)
From Nashville with Music: Some excellent country and western music, although one would be better served to purchase one of the actors’ albums rather than agonizing through this tale of a New York couple who go to the Grand Ole Opry by accident. Cast includes Marilyn Maxwell, Leo G. Carroll, Pedro Gonzalez, Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard, and Buck Owens. (87 minutes,’69)
Hannah Takes The Stairs: This film is every bit as unfocused and self-indulgent as its eponymous heroine. It’s a Chicago production organization wage earner gratingly played by Gerwig who drifts through a succession of short-lived relations that aren’t romances so much as one night stands. Cast includes Greta Gerwig, Kent Osborne, Andrew Bujalski, Ry Russo, and Mark Duplass. (83 minutes, 2007)
Agnes of God: A youthful nun evidently became pregnant, then killed the baby in the cloistered environment of a convent. The court assigned psychiatrist finds no simple answers. Upsetting, not unconditionally pleasing, although electrified by 3 brilliant performances, and beautifully photographed by Sven Nykvist. Cast includes Jane Fonda, Anne Bancroft, Meg Tilly, Anne Pitoniak, Winston Reckert, and Gratien Gelinas. (98 minutes,’85)
The Lost City: Heartfelt try to bring the Guillermo Cabrera children’s fable of the’50s Cuban rebellion to life through the tale of one family, a university professor and his 3 sons. One an apolitical cabaret owner, the others fighting for change. Cast includes Andy Garcia, Bill Murray, Tomas Milan, Dustin Hoffman, Danny Pino, and Champ Rivers. (138 minutes, 2006)

An excellent movie, a bit long, but well worth the time to watch. Movie 2.1 This is a great way to pass the time when you’re stuck in a metal tube, surrounded by strangers. In fact, rental agencies were all over, and the night at home with the movie had been born.
