Set in post Vietnam War US, this movie is really a vehicle to play a lot of Beatles music. Cast includes Julie Taymor. Evan Rachel Wood. Jim Sturgess, Joe Anderson, Dana Fuchs, Martin Luther McCoy. T. V. Carpio, Spencer Litf, Lisa Hogg, Bill Irwin, James Urbaniak, Dylan Baker, Joe Cocker, Bono, Salma Hayek, and Eddie Izzard all make appearances. (2007 Romance)

The Beverly Hillbillies: This is a movie based on the’60’s TV series. When Jed Clampett accidentally finds oil on his rural land in Arkansas, he becomes an instant billionaire. He brings the whole Clampett clan out to Beverly Hills. Being simple country folk they are pray to every money hungry con artist in the big city.

Swordfish: Gabriel Shear, Swordfish, knows where there is a lot of money. The problem is that it is in cyberspace. To steal it, he kidnaps former super hacker Stanley Jobson. He then pressures Stanley to comply, or suffer consequences.

Madagascar: A fun animated family comedy. When Marty the zebra decides he wants to see the world from outside the zoo, the penguins help him escape. Marty is gone, his friend also breaks out to find him and bring him home. Once out, they are captured by well meaning humans and shipped to Africa, to be returned to the wild. They miss Africa, and wind up on the magical island of Madagascar.

Mysterious Lady: An Austrian armed forces officer (Nagel) falls in love with Garbo, clueless that she’s a Russian agent. Another contrived plot made serviceable by Garbo herself. Cast includes Greta Garbo, Conrad Nagel, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Albert Pollet, and Edward Connelly. (96 minutes,’28)

The Cuckoos: Following their prosperity in Rio Rita, RKO rapidly teamed up Wheeler and Woolsey for this similar musical comedy in regards to the ventures of 2 fake fortune tellers who get mixed up with gypsies. Cast includes Bert Wheeler, Robert Woolsey, June Clyde, Hugh Trevor, and Dorothy Lee. (97 minutes,’30)

Do The Right Thing: This is a Spike Lee Directed film. On a hot summer day in a Brooklyn neighborhood, things are heating up. With various people from different races and cultures, all struggling with their own, or each other’s problems, things have reached a boiling point. The crescendo of which is a racially motivated outbreak of violence.
